The camera was very spacious, spotless, with a gorgeous view and outdoor area, surrounded by greenery. The owner was incredibly kind; even though her English was limited, she was attentive and present. The location isn’t the most central (but a tuk‑tuk to the city costs under €1), and the main access road is currently impassable, so you have to climb a long staircase—tricky with luggage.

The garden is amazing with plenty of plants and squirrels. Our two hosts went above and beyond, preparing lovely breakfasts. The accommodations feel immersed in nature, yet the city center is just 10–15 minutes away. Note: there are 30 steps to reach the lodging, but that didn’t bother us.

A lovely, caring host. The garden is beautiful, full of fruit trees, birds, and squirrels, and it’s a 10‑minute drive to the main city. Breakfast was perfect. You’ll need to climb stairs to get there, but that was fine for us.

The hotel had a beautifully kept garden where you could watch squirrels and birds, and a Shiba dog greeted me at check‑in, which was heart‑warming. The owner was homely and shared a lot about Sri Lanka, even accommodating my request for a non‑spicy breakfast. The room offered the basics and, for its price range, felt like a great deal. Because it’s set in a natural area, people who dislike insects should be cautious.
