The property surpassed my expectations based on past reviews. I needed affordable accommodation and expected a rougher experience at that price point. The staff are great and clearly put effort into making guests enjoy themselves. Past reviews had me nervous, but the room was perfectly clean, quite large, and had a very comfy queen bed.

The staff were super‑friendly, the bed was really comfortable, and the budget‑hotel facilities were fine; the place was very clean and the location right by Papineau metro was great. They kept my bags all day the next day. The hotel was nice, but the noise from downstairs ruined it for me—on a Friday or Saturday it’s probably only good for heavy sleepers or people returning after 2.30 am. I got back to my room around midnight but couldn’t sleep until 3 am when the strip‑club downstairs closed and the music stopped. The staff there must be rhythmically attuned because that bass was LOUD and occasional male chanting could be heard. I went down at 12.30 am to ask about the noise; the guy at the desk was understanding but clearly couldn’t do anything. Apparently it’s quieter on other nights, but on Fri and Sat their licence lets them play music till 3 am. The hotel is probably great Sun to Thurs as it genuinely was one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept on and the staff are very friendly. It should maybe advertise as great for anyone out dancing on weekends. My room was just above the reception, so maybe the rooms at the back are quieter… It’s also tricky to get the shower temperature right.

The staff were good and the location was convenient. I stayed on Saturday night and, because there was a bar below, people talked until 3 am, which I could hear. I also saw a few ants on the bed. I told the front desk, and he apologized but said it’s happening a lot in Montreal and even at his home.

The place has solid facilities, but the location leaves something to be desired.
