The spot is practically on the lake, with a private beach section that gives a killer view. The room itself was cozy, but it was so dark that hardly any sun made it in. No screen on the window meant bugs flew in—one even crawled over the bed. The bathroom had a sticky patch on the floor and the toilet bowl still had urine from the previous guest, plus a bunch of cobwebs everywhere. Finding a parking spot was a hassle because the spots were taken by restaurant diners.

The location is spot on—wake up to a view of Zeller See and the mountains right from the breakfast table. They serve local specialties that hit the spot, and the private lake access with little huts and a dock makes for a perfect day out.

The staff were super friendly and the chef paid close attention to details. Breakfast was tasty and you could enjoy a nice little view of the lake. If you want to explore the nearby town, you’ll have to walk a fair distance. Dinner is served at the local country inn, which is a bit pricey.
