“Schöne Hotelanlage mit einigen Schwächen bei Komfort und Gastronomie”
The hotel grounds overall look well‑maintained and seem to have been renovated a few years ago; the view from our balcony on the third floor, looking straight at the pool and the mountains beyond, was especially lovely. The Kidsclub is a nice extra for families. The beach is on the opposite side of the street and is publicly accessible; some hotel‑owned loungers are available, but the beach feels poorly kept, which is disappointing for a hotel of this category. The pool loungers were also unimpressive, looking more like simple, older wooden benches than comfortable sunbeds, which is unsatisfactory for a property of this price range. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection but is heavily skewed toward Asian flavours; for guests who prefer a Western breakfast, the choice is unconvincing. We were especially let down by the quality of certain items: instead of a decent cheese selection there was only cheap sliced cheese, and the fruit was served warm rather than chilled; the juices were the same. Overall, the impression was that the breakfast prioritises low cost over quality and presentation, and the large variety cannot compensate for these shortcomings. The surrounding area also failed to impress; the dining and tourist options outside the resort are limited and do not meet the expectations for a well‑known destination like Kenting.
