“Wer Natur liebt, ist hier richtig!”
We only booked one night, just a stop between Monteverde and La Fortuna. The place is a lovely estate with a lake in the middle where anyone can paddle. Monika and Rob run it, and Monika even speaks German. She cooks well—her schnitzel with spaetzle and a mango smoothie hit the spot after two weeks of rice and beans. The grounds buzz with hummingbirds and toucans. Beautiful all around. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.
The place is super quiet and relaxing, and the owner is really nice. Honestly, it’s an excellent spot.
Located on Route 142, about an hour from Arena National Park, the property offers a good breakfast on a terrace where you can watch exotic birds. The owners are open, friendly, and hospitable. The room and garden are beautifully decorated, and there’s a cool gallery and shop with local art. A few windows and door frames need some repair, though.
“A safe and gorgeous B&B nestled in the jungle hosted by friendly folks”
Breakfast was top-notch, and we liked sitting on the patio watching hummingbirds while soaking in nature. A short walk from the room to the café is a nice way to start the day. The room was roomy and clean, with a bench at the foot of the bed, two side tables, and a desk for stuff. The bed itself wasn’t the most comfortable, but the pillows made up for it.
“Beautiful!”
The grounds and décor are absolutely gorgeous, perfect for birdwatching on the property. The price is very reasonable for the quality you get. Overall, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed.
