“It was adequate, but I would not book again”

The concept looks charming online and the location suited my needs, but the bathroom was dirty and the shower stall was cramped; the door wouldn’t shut. The bunkie bed was comfortable, yet everything else felt worn out.

“Cute but not clean.”

The place and property look nice, but the cleaner hadn’t cleaned for weeks; cobwebs, dirty fridge spots, hair in the bed and sink, and it seemed like previous guests had used the bedsheets before us.

I’ve camped here a handful of times while trekking the Sydenham part of the Bruce Trail, and the fact that I actually had a proper bed and a roof over my head was a relief. The bunkies are nice and just the right size, but I wish there were a lounge or a gravity chair to chill outside.

“Good, but wouldnt recommend the tent”

The cabin’s individual fireplace and chair setup were super handy, and the tent came with a fan, mini heater, lamp, and an electrical outlet. The washroom was clean and the goats were adorable. The main issue was that the tent had no zippers on the entrance; a “lock” hung around two holes on the door flaps made me wonder what it was for, and many of the door flap strings were missing. I’d probably choose a cabin instead of the tent next time.

The bungalow was lovely, fully equipped and beautifully decorated, set in a quiet, pleasant spot. It was spotless, and they even had karaoke and a game console. Outside, there was a romantic fireplace and a lantern that cast a lovely diffused glow at night, perfect for evening gatherings. Nearby, a goat and a pig were friendly, and we enjoyed feeding them bananas and apples. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
