Hotel Garni Haus am Wald

“Sve u svemu, lijep smještaj na odličnoj lokaciji s predivnim pogledom.”

The stay was pleasant, the location great and the view truly beautiful. The pool looked nice, but we couldn't use it because of the cold weather. The accommodation feels a bit retro and could use some modernization, especially the bathroom that would benefit from a renovation.

I don't understand why some people say the breakfast is Spartan. Martina made scrambled eggs, fried eggs, etc. on request. I get that you can't serve a huge spread and leave guests hanging, but that's not sustainable. Just ask the host. Also I had a motorcycle trailer there and she made it possible for me to park the heavy trailer properly. Some complained that you have to walk up the mountain to get to the restaurant at night. I actually liked that after dinner! It’s worth researching the accommodation beforehand. I found the post‑meal walk very pleasant. For me everything was fine with what I booked; if it’s not offered at booking, don’t expect it.

“Kann nichts negatives sagen.”

A beautiful view, a nice large pool, and after cycling you could still relax. Drinks were self‑served from the fridge. The path to the house is a bit steep, but we had an e‑bike and got up quickly.

Found a good deal and the spot is right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was decent, staff were friendly, and the place was quiet enough for a family break. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no grill area on the property, so we couldn't fire up any meat.

The lake view was awesome. The road up to the house was steep and the beds made a squeaking noise.
