It’s by far the best spot to stay in the old city; everything is within walking distance, and it’s quiet enough yet less than 5 minutes from good restaurants and main sights. The hotel is beautifully designed, the room is comfortable and spacious, and it’s serene at night. The downside is there’s no elevator, so you have to haul luggage up the stairs if you’re on a higher floor. The front desk only stays open until a certain time each day.

The location is fine, but the reception was not helpful.

The morning breakfast was just a simple spread of toast with jam, cereal and coffee, which was cheap and decent, and the place is only a five‑minute walk from Tapae Gate. The triple room was a good size, so the three of us could open our suitcases and still move around easily. The lack of an elevator made hauling luggage up to and down from the third floor a real struggle, especially for anyone with a lot of bags. No staff were on duty after 5 pm and the front desk closed then, so any requests had to be made before that time.

The location was extremely convenient and I stayed there for seven consecutive nights; housekeeping kept the room spotless, and even without a “make up room” sign the staff refilled the minibar water and changed the sheets and towels every day, which I really appreciated. The fridge and some duct (I’m not sure what it is) in the room would randomly kick in and emit a low‑frequency hum that sometimes woke me up, and the sound insulation wasn’t great—being on the second floor I could hear people walking on the metal stairs and doors slamming loudly.
