The hotel sat close to the start of our tour, with shops, restaurants and ATMs nearby, and the staff were very helpful, but the room was a little small and street noise seeped in.

The place was in a convenient spot, but my one‑day stay at Uthram Residency on Collector's Bungalow Road, Ernakulam, Kochi was a very disappointing experience: I had booked a room that advertised air conditioning and a total charge of ₹1344, yet I was handed a non‑AC room. When I raised the issue with the owner, he was rude and unprofessional, even threatening me and insisting that the matter had to be taken up with . This left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. The room itself was in poor condition—unclean, with a nasty lingering smell that made the stay uncomfortable. The washroom was extremely congested and did not meet basic hygiene standards. The overall upkeep of the place was below expectations compared to how it was presented online. I do not recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and comfortable stay. The listing is misleading, and the host’s attitude was unacceptable. A very unpleasant experience that I hope no other traveler has to go through.
