Casa Panos, situated in 2 Mai’s historic center, lies just 150 m from the Black Sea. The boutique homestay features covered terraces, balcony rooms, mosquito‑netted windows, in‑room fridges, cable TV, and private bathrooms with showers and complimentary toiletries. A communal lounge, laundry, nearby bus stop, 5 km train station, and a 30 m restaurant enhance convenience.

The property was clean and close to the beach. The hosts were welcoming and we felt very comfortable.

It was fairly close to the sea and shops. Initially I chose to pay with a vacation card through Booking, made a deposit, and when I spoke to the owner she told me they don’t accept vacation cards, but this wasn’t mentioned on Booking. When I arrived, the room was not as shown in the photos: the shower curtain was moldy, the fridge was dirty with mold in the vegetable drawer, the shower drain was clogged (water barely flowed), the toilet lid was broken, and the water heater in the room was full of limescale and grime. The windows wouldn’t open, they only rattled. There was no dryer or place to hang bathrobes or towels. In the evening there was no hot water and I couldn’t shower. The description said there was a kitchenette, but I had no access because it was used only by the hosts. I paid 1611 lei for a week, but it was worth less than a quarter of that price. I would not recommend this property to anyone—it's a disaster and the price is outrageous for what is offered.

The hosts are extraordinary, they help with everything you need, the price‑quality ratio is good, there’s a shop right next to the guesthouse, and the beach is about 150 m away. I have nothing to criticize about the hosts or the guesthouse.

The price-to-facilities ratio was outstanding—just two steps from the sea, a home‑like privacy, great communication with the owners, and secure parking in the courtyard, though the Wi‑Fi signal was a bit weak.
