“Not bad, but a one-time experience”
The place sits in a great spot and the rooms are roomy. Chef Benjamin’s risotto was delicious, and Oksana from the restaurant went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable—her attentiveness, care, and professionalism truly made the evening special. The reception was a major let‑down: we were told a king‑size bed would be in the room, yet we arrived to two separate beds and had to ask them to be pushed together. The room faced the back of the hotel, right next to loud ventilation, making it impossible to keep the balcony door open because of the noise and strong food smells outside. The Deluxe Room with Balcony looked very different from the photos, and nobody seemed interested in offering a solution or an alternative. We were celebrating a birthday and asked reception to arrange flowers; the process was slow and complicated. We also requested a table for nine at a nearby restaurant, but the reservation was made for only two. A similar hassle occurred when arranging our airport transfer, with excessive back‑and‑forth for something that should be straightforward at a five‑star hotel. Breakfast was another disappointment: many new or inexperienced staff members appeared unsure of their duties, orders were mixed up, dishes arrived in a strange order and often took a long time. The breakfast selection itself was limited. For a five‑star hotel, we expected a much higher and more consistent standard of service, especially from reception.
