Two nights at Jatroi Guesthouse felt like a true love‑affair. The hosts are absolutely adorable and go to great lengths to make everything perfect. Traveling solo, I was welcomed like family. Comfort-wise, nothing to complain about: the private room and bathroom are spotless, furnished with brand‑new furniture and super comfy bedding. Homemade breakfast—both sweet and savory—was enjoyed on a stunning flower‑filled terrace, where I even tasted the garden’s delicious grapes. What makes this place magical are the shared moments: the gentleman used Google Translate to chat with me, full of humor, sharing his passion for herbalism and naturopathy by letting me feel the mountain herbs on the terrace, then showing me his cellar where he makes liqueurs, teas and medicinal plants. I also admired his wooden sculptures and the furniture he and his wife craft together. On departure day, before catching an early bus to Përmet (watch out for the online schedules!), his wife kindly prepared a doggy bag for the road. A house where you feel the owners’ passion and soul. Go in with closed eyes and an open heart!
