The hotel was fantastic, with great views, pretty facilities for Sri Lanka, and a very good price; the lady running it was charming and arranged a motorbike for us to use in the afternoon. The spacious room had air conditioning and a fan, felt cozy, and the bathroom was well kept and didn’t get soggy when showering. We ate breakfast and dinner at the on‑site restaurant, where she cooks wonderfully—though it takes a bit because she prepares it fresh, but the food was excellent. Breakfast choices included rotti and toast, and the portions were generous. The restaurant also offers a direct view of the lake and the local wildlife, highly recommended.

A perfect spot to unwind, absolutely peaceful. Everything was well maintained, and I loved it. The beach is wild and not suitable for swimming.

The staff were incredibly friendly. The surroundings were beautiful, and we saw so many lovely birds at the location. We visited the Mulkirigala temple on a scooter and even saw turtles hatching at night! We booked an extra night because of it. The Wi‑Fi was weaker, but there was so much to enjoy that it actually felt like a bonus.

The host is adorable and the food is very good. The pool is huge and the view of the lake is magnificent. If you enjoy peace and watching nature, this is the ideal place.
