The sea view was wonderful, though the room felt a bit dated.

The resort had fallen into severe disrepair, lacking proper maintenance. The beach area was noisy because it was close to another beach, and the ferry traffic from the island tours was chaotic. The location was inconvenient for dining—if you want to eat on Binh Hung Island you have to take a boat, and if you go to Vinh Hy you should leave early because the winding mountain road is dark at night. The hotel cut corners to the point of not even hanging a sign at the entrance, which felt cheap, yet the price wasn’t cheap. They advertised a sea‑view room on Booking but the hotel had no sea‑view rooms; the price difference from a mountain‑view room was $80, so they were lying. The TV didn’t work, the hotel was old and dirty.

The price was reasonable, the view and facilities were nice, and breakfast was decent. As a foreigner I wasn’t allowed to visit the island, and because there’s not much around, you’ll need transport.

It was quiet, but the beach was too close to the pier, smelled of fuel, the room wasn’t clean, the bathroom was attached to the bedroom, and it was far from the centre.
