We chose this hotel because we booked on short notice and couldn’t find accommodation near the lakes. Breakfast was decent, offering a good range of rolls, breads, cereals, sausages, and cheese, and the homemade mushroom butter was a highlight. Fresh fruit was rotated, but the fruit salad always consisted only of watermelon and a little pineapple. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated a glass of apricot jam as a complimentary gift at checkout. Our room was smaller than the photo shown in the booking and lacked a seating area. The floor was worn, the shower door scraped the floor, and there were mildew spots in the shower corners. Other small issues caught my eye: fresh flowers weren’t consistently placed on the breakfast tables; for several days wilted flowers stayed on the tables, then none at all. Outside, a large lounge set was hardly used; a smaller group of chairs might have been more inviting. The dining rooms feature various wood types, as do the carpets and runners in the public areas—taste matters. Modern elements clash with older furnishings. Despite some decorative touches, I felt the overall coziness of the building was missing.
