The bathroom is clean, the location is decent, and the air‑con works well. It felt like a budget hotel charging standard rates. The double room had the bed against the wall, so one person couldn’t get up without disturbing the other and there was no bedside table on that side. Previous guests must have left pastries in the room, as there were crumbs and flakes on the floor around the table, plus food leftovers in the fridge. The sheets were marked – they looked clean, so hopefully they were washed and just stained. The blind was broken, so I had to prop it open to let light in. For £145 per night I expected better.

I couldn’t open the windows for fresh air, and there was no reception—just a code to unlock the room—so it felt more like a hostel.
