The family who hosted us were very kind, but the distance from the town center was a bit of a drawback. It was a lovely experience staying in a genuine Hanok. The bathroom was basic, with a hanging shower next to the sink and just a pair of slippers to use; soaps were provided. There’s nothing to put your stuff on. In the single room, mattresses unfolded on the floor, and we ate by placing the tray on the ground (in the morning we went down to the ground floor where the owners live for breakfast and then returned the tray). A tiny fridge, a small cabinet with a TV on top, a hair dryer, and small towels are available. The floor is heated and very warm.
