The location on the riverbank was excellent.

I could relax there as if it were my own home, the price was reasonable, and this was my second stay—I definitely want to come back. The area around the river and the greenery had a few insects, and at night the bright spots attracted them, which was a bit annoying.

The holiday flat sits close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum, and it’s on the riverside with a lovely view and pretty décor. The owner was friendly, showed us beautiful spots when we arrived, and drove us to the station when we left. The downside is that there’s no restaurant nearby for dinner or breakfast, so if you don’t have a car you’ll need to bring your own food. To get from the station to the house you can either take a taxi or catch the small bus that runs three times a day.
