It offered reasonable value, but there was no breakfast available, and I’ve never stayed anywhere that doesn’t serve breakfast🤷🏻♂️.

The historic setting and quiet surroundings were great, but the mattress could have been slightly better.

The staff were friendly and the room was comfy and quiet, but I booked a room with a bath and only found a shower; they didn’t ask about the bath because it was only there one night.

We had two rooms, one for two nights and one for one night, for a wedding at Green Grove Barn; the location was perfect for the event. The first room was very dated and needed better cleaning, with cobwebs and biscuit wrappers in the drawers, though it fit the medieval theme. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, and there was no one around the next morning because the pub was shut when we left for the wedding, so no breakfast facilities even though this was advertised when booking. It was quite expensive for what we received, and we almost got charged twice when the rest of the party arrived for the wedding evening and were told to pay again. The second room was apparently nicer than the first, but I didn’t see it personally. Bar staff kept serving someone from our party when we returned after the wedding, even after being told not to because they were quite inebriated and getting rowdy. All in all, I wouldn’t go back.

The owners were lovely, the stay was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it. Nothing negative.
