The bathroom fan leaked water over the toilet, the fridge froze my items, kids ran the halls and knocked on my door from 11:30‑11:50 p.m., and the elevator rugs were filthy.

“All in all the room wasn't bad,but I don't think I would stay there again.”

The ceiling had several large patches that were poorly done—near the air conditioner a 14‑inch section of wall was peeling—and we were woken at 7 a.m. by the loud sound of trucks picking up trash directly below our room, with interstate traffic audible all night long.

The room was nice and the pool was nice, though it could have been bigger, but that wasn’t the staff’s fault; the breakfast hours were longer, we were told the wrong time for breakfast, yet they still let us in.

“We would recommend this Prairie View/Kenosha Country Inn and Suites to others.”

The room was clean and comfortable for four adults, on the first floor as requested and quiet even though many other guests were staying at the same time; the exceptionally efficient attendant at the breakfast area kept wiping handles of the hot serving areas, constantly replacing tongs, serving spoons, and restocking food items, ensuring everything stayed hot and at the proper temperature—we stayed 10/2 to 10/4, and as restaurant owners for 27 years we really appreciated her quiet efficiency. No complaints.

“The first 2xs were horrible but I will still give this place a chance because the staff is amazing.”

The staff tried hard to help with our issues, and the Malagasy cuisine was a highlight. I can’t remember which stay this was, but our two stays were HORRIBLE. In the first stay the air conditioner didn’t work and still produced loud noise. The second stay had ants in our room and bed, so they moved us to a smaller suite without any upgrade. They only reimbursed us half and gave a 20% discount on the next stay, which ended up being worse than the first.
