The location was great and there was a spacious parking lot; the interior was stylish and everything from the exterior to the interior looked wonderful. The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were high quality, and the bathroom and toilet were roomy. The bathtub felt good and the shower pressure was strong. Water and light snacks were always available. The staff member, though not fluent in English, handled everything smoothly with a translator. The first night was drenched in rain, so I couldn't leave the hotel and asked for dinner after 6 pm; they kindly made pizza for me. I got along well with the dogs and cats. The bed was terrible: only one thin mattress on top of a springy metal frame, it was hard and left my back sore so I couldn't sleep.

The cottage had a unique, cozy décor and the common room offered a panoramic view that was perfect for breakfast. Our room was spacious and even let us watch the sunrise. Tina—if I remember correctly—was especially helpful and friendly. Check‑in went smoothly and the stay was delightful. The pet cats and dog were very friendly, especially the dog Maimai and the old cat Liyou; we even enjoyed a wonderful two‑hour hike with Maimai! It’s definitely worth staying here. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from Jiufen old street, and the slope can be slightly steep—about a 20‑minute walk, unless you take an Uber which takes about 5 minutes.
