“Worth a visit- unique stay in a lovely building.”

A unique venue with nice grounds and helpful staff, but it was quite expensive for what it offered and I would have liked more breakfast options.

“Disappointing”

The location was good with ample parking, yet our room only had a privacy curtain between the bedroom and toilet, and window cleaners came during breakfast to clean the breakfast room windows, letting them see into our bedroom while we dressed. We missed out on evening meals for the entire four‑day stay, found breakfast disappointing, heard noisy door slamming, and missed the “complementary tea” because we arrived at 16.05 instead of before 16.00 when the kitchen staff had already left.

The setting is ideal for a relaxed break within easy reach of all attractions, making it highly recommended for a laid‑back visit.

Breakfast was good, but there was no hot water in the morning before check‑out, so we couldn’t shower; if we had, the shower head would have splashed over the guard and the jacuzzi bath was also non‑functional. Despite the nicely laid‑out room, its small size made the price unjustified. We reported the issue at check‑out and received an email from the office manager offering a goodwill gesture, but it was only a refund of the deposit from online check‑in, and it took several weeks of chasing emails to get an update.
