Located by the Bystranda beach, Scandic Kristiansand Bystranda is an 8-minute walk from Markensgate shopping street in Kristiansand. The hotel offers great value before taking the ferry, and the breakfast is unbeatable. The only gripe is that the breakfast buffet opens later on weekends than during the week.

The location and easy parking were nice. The metal pipes (or the scrawls) decorating the room were a bit off; the floor was pretty worn, and there was no separate bath towel – I had to use one of the others after showering.

Central location, friendly staff, and good service. There was nothing I didn’t like.

The location was very practical and pleasant. The room wasn’t the cleanest, and it was poorly insulated, so a lot of noise got in.
