The bungalows in the rice fields have dreamy terrace views of the mountain, but the staff barely speak English, so you have to hunt them down to place an order or check out. We waited 40 minutes for cocktails and for food even though nothing seemed busy, and the massages booked in the pretty pavilion among the rice fields were heavily disrupted by rattling and squeaking fans.

The place is amazing, staff are friendly and very attentive, breakfast is good, though the food overall isn’t amazing – still a 10 for me.
