The place was poorly designed, very hot upstairs, impossible to get fresh air or breathe, AC doesn't help because it doesn't reach the top floor, obviously due to physics (air density). On top of that, the top floor was dirty with a lot of dust under the wooden pallets, and the heavy curtains were dusty as hell. When were they last washed? We got no sleep that night.

“Tranquil stay in nature with all the comforts of home”

Amazing location, food baskets delivered are great! Good wi‑fi (for logging bird sightings) felt very safe (we are from JHB). Little extras like the salt / pepper / washing up liquid (not always available in self‑catering) and outdoor shower. This is not a big issue. but would be nice to drink wine from glasses that doesn't scream SPUR.

“We had an enjoyable time.”

Location was wonderful, away from the crowds. Toilet sistern leaked continuously. Toilet flush did not work properly. Those are basic maintenance issues that should be addressed

“Voor avonturiers best ok”

The location is super, but the house itself felt a bit cramped, very warm, lacking enough dishes and glasses, and the staircase to the bedroom was dangerous. We did receive a barbecue and breakfast, which were very pleasant and tasty, and the place was clean. The house’s equipment could use an update.

“Overall enjoyed the stay. Staff very friendly and tried to solve any problems.”

Andrea is an absolute angel, but the loft room staircase feels like a dare for the faint‑hearted. The bathroom is gorgeous and the view is magnificent, and we appreciated the quiet and the friendly kitty that visited. However, the rubbish dump behind the graveyard is visible from the loft window, and the curtain in the bathroom could be better because staff walked past the window during the day. We felt uneasy turning on the bathroom light at night for fear of being seen, and the kitchen could use more supplies.
