Coastal Valley Inn

No positives here. The gentleman cancelled my booking because I hadn’t paid, even though I had selected 'pay on arrival' which the property allows. Both the hotel and the booking platform behaved poorly.

“Room fine, location bad”

The hotel was clean and spacious, with a fridge and a microwave. The Wi‑Fi was non‑functional, and the windows let in a lot of traffic noise that kept me awake all night. Light seeped through the slats in the shades, and there were no curtains; a blackout curtain would have helped. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but never have I experienced such loud traffic.

I never actually stayed there because the reservation was cancelled without notice. My wife and I had terrible nights that I’ll never forget, and I don’t plan to return.

The hotel was infested with bedbugs, the mattress had mold, and the bathroom was unsanitary. They also rent out rooms without telling guests, and many people were hanging around. I checked in and left immediately because of the unsanitary conditions.

“Would NOT use again.”

The property looked good online, but the experience was awful. The proprietors shouted at each other in the lobby. The bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold, door locks were missing, a random door led to another room, the bed sheets were dirty and stained with pee, the shower was so scummy we couldn’t use it, and toilet paper was on the floor when we arrived.
