We booked through BOOKING, and when we arrived they told us there was no room and advised us to find accommodation at a nearby hotel; the staff only spoke English, not even Romanian, and seemed to be either Ethiopians, Bangladeshi, or Chinese; they did not refund our money and I would not recommend it—terrible. All the posts are awful, do not recommend; we booked via BOOKING, and upon arrival they said there was no room and suggested we find a place at a neighboring hotel; the staff only spoke English, not even Romanian; they seemed to be either Ethiopians, Bangladeshi, or Chinese; they did not refund our money and I would not recommend it—terrible. After locating the hotel, it sits on the first floor of an old, very imposing building, giving us the sense of stepping into another era—like an ancient palace with winding, long corridors, chandeliers, furnishings, room décor, everything. The room was large, very clean, and everything worked flawlessly. Its central location in the Old City is superb; you’re truly at the heart of the action. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend the hotel; it’s a world of its own, exciting, entertaining, and an excellent experience.

The location in the old town is great, with beautiful crystal crowns and a pretty old building, though it has a sewer smell in the bathrooms and a toilet that’s a bit noisy. Street noise is audible as if there were no windows at all, but this was known when booking and didn’t overly affect the vacation vibe.
