The location was fine, but the place felt dull and drab, the bar doors were too thin, and thick dust covered flat surfaces. There were scuff marks on the wall, large cracks in the shower, and a visible damp patch above the pillow and bed. No in‑room facilities were available, the TV control lacked a battery cover, and its buttons were dirty and not working. The grey décor was unappealing, and staff didn’t communicate when needed.

It’s a basic stay but comfortable enough to break up a trip or if you’re on a tight budget. The staff were very welcoming and lovely, which is hard to beat.

The location worked well for the visits we wanted to make, but the ensuite was tiny, built into a wardrobe, and the wash basin was inadequate.
