Breakfast was decent, but the vegetarian selection was lacking; more vegetarian options should be added to the menu.

“It was lovely to come back to Craigside Manor after a busy day out and have a delicious dinner.”

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was good, with staff checking for allergies; the rooms were very clean. However, we didn’t get enough room information. The room we first got had five steps between the main door and the bedroom, and it faced the crag side, covered in trees that made it very dark—acceptable for a one‑night stay but not for our five nights. The manager moved us to a sea‑facing room, but we had to pay extra.

Overall, a very nice property with very friendly staff. The breakfast was superb and I would definitely recommend it. At night the room was relatively cool, which could be due to the transition period or the night‑time shutdown.

“Comfortable bed clean room great bathroom and friendly staff”

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the TV was good, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had superb water pressure. Breakfast was high quality and delicious, offering great value for money. The only downside was the lack of phone signal.

Good breakfasts, including a buffet and a selection of hot dishes from the menu, all included in the price. The hotel isn’t the newest, so the facilities and décor aren’t up‑to‑date. Some parts of the bar and restaurant are really nice and atmospheric, but the rooms feel a bit old.
