“Comoda ma ...scomoda!”

The B&B Duomo Luxury Suite sits in the historic center, just a stone’s throw from Piazza Duomo, in an old building that’s a bit run‑down. The place is clean. The contact person, Mrs. Adele, was friendly and courteous, and she let us leave our luggage in the room for a few hours after checkout. We stayed four nights in the Suite King Superior on the second floor, which you reach by climbing high, narrow stairs due to the building’s age. The “Suite King Superior” (the name is written on the door, though the room is really just a single room with a bathroom) isn’t a true suite; it’s a room with a bath. Compared to a normal hotel or B&B room, it has a Jacuzzi tub placed at the foot of the bed, about a meter away. It also lacks furniture except for the bed and a mini fridge. The wardrobe is replaced by a visible rod with hangers, about 1.80 m from the floor, across from one of the two windows. That means any luggage—suitcases, trolleys, backpacks—must stay on the floor (otherwise moving around becomes tricky). The bathroom has a large walk‑in shower with a glass view into the bedroom, so you can see whoever’s on the toilet if you wish. It also has no furniture or shelves; any toiletries must be placed on the floor. The hair dryer isn’t in the bathroom but on a small glass nightstand next to the bed. In short, the room is appealing for those traveling light (minimal or no luggage) and looking for a short, romantic break (I didn’t try the Jacuzzi because I wasn’t interested).
