The hotel sits on the main road, close to MG Marg in one direction and Deorali in the other, and you can see Gangtok city from the balcony of the room; the food was excellent, though options were limited because of the LPG crisis, so we ate Puri‑subzi, Parotta‑subzi, tea and coffee; our room was just right for our needs, and there was proper parking space—parking at Paani House is precious :) Ayan, the manager we met, was helpful and gave all the necessary info about the new city like a friend, which made dealing with taxi and cab drivers easier; the price of the rooms is also worth it for the location. They could add a mirror in the bathroom and hangers in the cupboard that would hold huge rain jackets, since Gangtok is cold.
