The courtyard around this place is really scenic and cultured, giving the feeling of stepping back into history. It sits right inside the historic Da Li city, off the main street, yet stays surprisingly quiet. The room looks modern enough for today’s needs, and free flower biscuits were included. The hotel staff met me at the drop‑off spot for my car and helped with luggage into the hotel a few hundred metres away. The lady boss was very friendly. There’s a nice courtyard to relax in and even a pizza oven if that’s your thing. At night, a screen in the courtyard plays movies. The showerhead was filthy, with parts you could scrape off with your finger. The drainage was slow, so after showering the night before, a puddle still sat on the floor the next morning. The staff suggested chartered car services that were much more expensive than the fair‑priced options elsewhere.
