“Spacious room, great location, outdated furniture”

The room was spacious, cosy and clean, and the location is amazing—right near the sea with a beautiful terrace for sunbathing and relaxing. The reception, however, was in another nearby hotel; you had to cross the road twice to get there. The furniture feels outdated, the shower cabin doesn’t close completely, and the pipe is hard to open. The mattress is very soft, so you can feel the bottom of the bed.

The hotel is fine and cleanliness is high. The staff are polite and very helpful, especially the gentleman at the reception in the evenings. The building sits next to former salt pans that are now a bird sanctuary, and beaches and restaurants are nearby. The room has air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and an air recovery system. Unfortunately, the room faced the garden—or the hillside face—so it was dark and cold, especially by late September. The staff acted quickly: the building’s central heating was turned on the next day, warming the room once the air conditioning unit was switched to heating mode, which only worked after the hotel activated the central heating system. Another drawback was that breakfast is served at the adjacent hotel, yet there is no direct walkway between the two. You must leave the hotel, cross the street, walk about 100 m along the sidewalk, and cross the street again to reach the other hotel. There is simply no connecting footpath between the two properties—just look at the map. It’s a very odd arrangement, especially since both hotels are side‑by‑side and share the same owner.

“Preisleistung passt für drei Sterne im Vergleich zu anderen vier Stern Hotels nicht ganz zusammen!”

The view of the sea is beautiful, the staff are very friendly, the hotel is very clean, and breakfast is good—especially the buffet, which is very clean. The receptionist kindly let me combine a pre‑booked night at the Lavender with a booked night at the Oleander, which was great! I had a single room with two single beds, which I didn’t like at all; I’m used to sleeping alone in a wide bed, and the single beds were too narrow.

The hotel is nice, clean, and close to the beach. The staff are welcoming, and breakfast is very good. We missed the option to dry wet towels and swimsuits; otherwise the facilities are adequate.
