The host immediately fixed the problem and I got to see the aurora, but the road to the lodging is unpaved ㅠㅠ.

The room had everything you could wish for, it was good in size as well as the bathroom. A bit secluded but some attractions are super easy to reach; I would book again.

“Beautiful Stay for a night or for a longer adventure!!”

We booked the newer stand‑alone cottage and it turned out to be the highlight of our 2‑week trip. For the first time, the room was spotless—something that had frustrated us before when every room had at least one flaw, and one in Glasgow was a nightmare. The cottage sits amid flat farmland with dramatic mountains in the distance and we could even hear the distant roll of waves; I even caught the aurora here. It was thoughtfully equipped with a Nespresso machine and pods, a kettle, basic spices, honey, oil, an electric water kettle, stove (no oven), microwave and toaster (perfect for our lava‑baked bread). If you can slot in a somewhat remote stay, this is a must‑visit; it’s not too far from Vik and other spots, making it a luxurious basecamp for a multi‑night visit. Nothing to complain about—entry instructions were timely, accurate, and easy to follow, and it was the only time we didn’t have to contact the owner to figure out how to get in.

We were warmly welcomed by the host and two gorgeous dogs that set the tone right away, and we were delighted to find a lovely double bed, a modern kitchen, and a spacious, clean shared bathroom. We almost missed out on booking one of the cottages that look too adorable and offer extra privacy, but we had no complaints about our stay at all – we even bumped into a lovely Italian couple sharing the kitchen/bathroom for a short chat before retiring. This was our favorite accommodation out of the seven places we stayed over the course of our week in Iceland!

Lovingly furnished with a modern and cozy feel. The room, bathroom, and kitchen were all very clean. A little off the busy paths, accessible via gravel roads that are in good condition, which makes the location wonderfully quiet and idyllic, surrounded by fields and icelandic horses on swaying grass. The kitchen is small but lovely and fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Self-check-in, in addition the hosts live next door and were very welcoming and keen to make sure everything went smoothly. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay!
