May Rooms Taipei Nangang Station

Close to Nan Kang Station, the bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable to sleep on. The railing on the upper floor was very low, offering almost no fall protection (luckily I don’t roll around in my sleep). The shower area was cramped.

I was really lucky this time because after the holiday the owner disinfected the backpacker's room and upgraded me to a single room, which helped a lot. Since I had an important interview the next day and didn't plan to stay long, I later chose the more economical 6‑person room. I was worried about noisy roommates affecting my sleep, but that problem disappeared! Thanks to the owner!

“體驗過一次就好”

The location is great, right between MRT Nangang Station and Nangang Exhibition Center Station, and there's a bus stop for Nangang High School right at the entrance with many bus lines. The ground floor has almost nothing to eat, so you have to walk a bit. The main entrance door is heavy; when it opens it scrapes the stone floor and makes a loud noise, which is really uncomfortable. Because I was carrying a heavy suitcase, the already tight doorway made it a painful struggle to get in. The bathroom area is a bit scary, with visible wall mold and spider webs. The equipment is old but that’s fine, just not very clean. Three of the bathrooms have two doors that won't close properly… only one door can close, and even then the window has a gap.

“小資族看完演唱會後落腳的好選擇”

The mattress has good support, the pillow height and blanket thickness are just right, and I slept very comfortably; everything is overall very clean. Geographically, the value for money is decent, and after watching a concert in Beiluo I could reach the hotel quickly by bus. The upper‑bed mattress height and the armrest are almost the same, which is a bit scary… and you can't hang curtains on the upper bed, so consider that before booking; the bed frame makes a big noise whenever anyone moves; finally, the toilet seat cushion in the last bathroom has obvious coffee‑colored wear marks, which I initially thought was just dirty 😅.
