The place is tucked away, the food menu is basic but sufficient, the owner welcomed us even though we didn’t speak the same language; I savored an Estrella Galicia after a day riding a motorcycle in 35‑degree heat.

Enrique was very friendly and attentive; the room works because it has everything; the pillow might be a bit hard and could be uncomfortable for some people.

It was very quiet and the room had an ensuite. The lake view was great, and the small village was beautiful. The satnav had trouble locating the hotel, and the food was very salty.
