The hotel is perfectly located overlooking Alba, surrounded by vineyards with a clear, pleasant view. The room was charming, spacious, and clean. The staff were very friendly and spoke French. Breakfast was outstanding. The restaurant is absolutely exceptional, with a stunning and very romantic terrace, and the prices remain reasonable for Italy. We did have an issue with the air‑conditioning (independent of the staff’s effort, caused by a previous guest who had messed up the automated system) that unfortunately could not be fixed before we went to bed. Another small problem was the pool closing at 18:00, which seems normal in Italy but is annoying when you arrive late in the afternoon and leave the next morning; this should be made clearer at booking or check‑in.
