I always enjoy staying here; the rooms are comfy and spotless, breakfast is plentiful, the owners are lovely, and the local pubs serve excellent food. No negatives.

“Will definitely be spending time there again”

The location was fabulous with a short drive into Bury St Edmonds, and we were made to feel very welcome.

The location was quiet, and the room (Room 1) had everything you could need. Continental breakfast was delivered to the room. Set table, chairs, kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave were all in the room so you could make whatever you wanted. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Check‑in was easy via key‑safe, and all rooms are on the first floor.

“Welcoming stay”

The host was very agreeable and welcoming, the room was spacious and the beds were clean, making it easy to come and go with convenient parking. The breakfast was disappointing because the pastries and croissants were stale; the bathroom was a bit tired. It’s certainly not expensive, so it remains good value. The window access needs attention.

“Didi not look like the photos!”

The location was good and the bed was super comfy, but the place was a mess everywhere. We avoided the shower because the plug was clogged with hair and we weren't sure it had been cleaned. The owner runs other businesses from the same spot, so the front was full of work vans, a workshop, and a gate area for another business. The photos on the site and other sites are totally out of date – if we’d known how run-down it was we wouldn’t have booked, even though I paid in advance. The owner is friendly, but it’s clear the B&B needs a full overhaul: paint, redecorating, and a real update to match the website. It feels like false advertising. The setting is beautiful, so it’s sad it’s been neglected. I’m reluctant to leave such a harsh review, but people should know the pictures are misleading. Book at your own risk. On the bright side, the bed was extremely comfortable.
