“Un hôtel de qualité et très bon rapport qualité prix”
The location was great, the view was nice, the room was very spacious with a fireplace that we lit because it was southern winter, and the service quality was courteous and attentive.

The reception was warm, the place quiet, and the activities—hiking in the hills and making Antemoro paper—were enjoyable. The fireplace added a cozy touch, and learning to play fanorona was a fun bonus. Nothing major was lacking, though a few minor tweaks could help, like better meat knives and more variety in meat preparation.

The location is outside the city, offering silence and peace. The staff are kind and the manager is very good.

This spot is ideal for truly exploring the high plateaus and rice paddies while staying not far from the airport. Beautiful walks, attentive staff, and the live production of Antemoro handmade paper make it a memorable stay. No complaints.

Jonah and his team are extremely friendly and welcoming. Jonah upgraded our room at no extra cost, and the room itself was lovely with a stunning view. We appreciated how eco‑friendly the lodge is—nothing goes to waste, minimal rubbish, and it runs on solar power. Jonah also took time to explain how the lodge employs and trains local youth in hospitality, which is why it’s called an “ecole” (French for school). Definitely a place to visit when you’re in Tana. The only downside was that the shower was a bit cooler than expected on a cold day.
