The apartment sits close to the old town, a short walk away, and offers everything you’d need with a decent size for two, including a separate toilet and en‑suite shower. The air conditioning was a blessing; we turned it on each evening as daytime temperatures hovered above 28 °C. Dedicated parking just outside was a plus, and the neighbors were either invisible or polite, so no hassle. On the downside, a couple of fish‑processing facilities a few doors down made the air a bit fragrant when we opened windows. The combined oven wouldn’t power up after its first use, and the dishwasher never worked because the detergent cover wouldn’t latch. A proper sink drain and drying rack would have solved that. The heated towel rail didn’t work even when plugged in, so towels stayed damp unless left outside, which was risky when it rained. We tried two local delivery services via Thuisbezorgd: both were pricey, and one (Mr. Li’s) only warmed the food just enough, while the other (Podomoro) was acceptable but still expensive.
