A very nice rural inn with a hearty breakfast and welcoming service that made us feel right at home. Driving there was perfect for day trips to the tri‑border area between Baden, Switzerland, and Alsace.

The reception was friendly, the family room was spacious, and the on‑site food was decent. Unfortunately, the garden seating was closed because chestnuts were falling, and the bedroom faced the main road, so trucks and cars passed by at night.

The host was very welcoming and even waited for our late arrival, which we appreciated; the spot is convenient for car travelers near the highway and close to Freiburg, making it a solid base for a short stop. However, the lack of air conditioning left us sweating in June, and the fan didn’t help much with the heat, especially with kids; the street‑facing room meant we could hear traffic at night, and the breakfast felt pricey for what it offered, so the value was not great.
