“Super cool place, a big happy house.”
It turned out to be the most social hostel I've stayed in Japan. It attracts very high‑quality people, mostly cool backpackers, and every night we had a movie night, which was such a cool experience.

You stay in a large, cool house with a kettle, tea, and a couch. Nearby are some good restaurants, and it's close to the train station. The manager has added a lot of nice details to make sure you have everything you need; many places in Japan do this, but this one does it and more.

Not exactly in Nikko, but the location is convenient for a cheap train to Nikko. All the facilities were clean and neat, and the common areas were great for chilling. We booked two private rooms: one was very spacious but had two single beds, while the other was quite small and the bed was what we in Europe would call a 1.5‑person bed. It was rather small, and as two couples we obviously prefer to sleep together in a bed that allows it.

The staff were amazing, and the place is great for meeting people. It is very clean and comfortable, and it gives the feeling of staying in an actual Japanese house. Highly recommended; the quality to price ratio is very good.
