The room was superb! Very spacious, with all the necessary equipment. It was truly beautiful and comfortable; for the price paid, you didn’t expect such a cozy room. It was brand‑new and everything was very clean. The host was adorable and very helpful, explaining everything perfectly. I strongly recommend it, especially for the value.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, but we never learned about the renovations happening. We had to bring our own fan because of the heat wave that weekend. The room was stained everywhere, the bath leaked, and neither the Wi‑Fi nor the TV worked, something we weren’t told beforehand. We didn’t feel we got our money’s worth and left a day early. I tried to get a small refund, but they never responded. It’s a shame because the place has so much potential, but we didn’t enjoy our time there.

The location and size of the room were good; it’s in a quiet residential area and less than a 10‑minute walk to the nearest store, though a car would be less than 10 minutes if you needed it, plus there’s ample off‑street parking. The room and location suited my present needs. I was returning from a solo trip and waiting to join a group trip to Scandinavia, so I needed to reassess luggage travel plans near Heathrow T5. The hotel had no service staff or facilities except for one most helpful gentleman who served as reception, service, and security. This did not distress me; I accepted the very scruffy presentation of what was clearly an elegant property. The bed linen was clean, but the whole building was shabby with paint peeling off the walls. The general appearance wasn’t clean. There was no plug in the bath, and the shower head attachment was inadequate and scruffy, but I had to accept it because the place was being refurbished.
