Mackie Lodge is the best lodge we’ve ever stayed in; every detail is thoughtfully considered and the lodge is built with care, attention, and style. Fiona is a wonderful, warm, and attentive host who goes above and beyond to make your stay special, and we couldn’t recommend Mackie Lodge highly enough!

The hosts were fantastic and very friendly; the private property is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and quiet, and they left us plenty of tasty snacks. The only downside was that we had to leave after two nights.

We just got back from the most amazing stay at Mackie Lodge and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, complimentary Prosecco on ice and a lovely welcome basket made us feel special. Milk, quality tea and coffee were all provided, and even though the lodge is self‑catering, we only needed to bring the food we planned to cook that evening. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. The lodge was spotless, beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, with fluffy towels, cosy robes and high‑quality products everywhere. It felt like a luxury boutique hotel while still being warm, private and relaxing. The outdoor space was equally special; the garden was well‑maintained and soaking in the outdoor bath with mountain views was pure bliss. Beautiful bubble bath and luxurious bath salts were thoughtfully provided, making the whole experience feel truly indulgent. The lodge feels completely private and secluded, yet is just minutes from the breathtaking scenery of Loch Lomond. The host was warm, friendly, informative and incredibly accommodating, making us feel welcome from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place where absolutely every detail has been thought of, but Mackie Lodge has managed it. The quality of the accommodation, combined with the exceptional value for money, has genuinely made us rethink booking hotels in the future. This offered every bit of the luxury of a boutique hotel, with the added privacy and comfort of having the whole place to ourselves. We would return in a heartbeat and very much hope to visit again. Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

“Amazing, must visit for a stay in Loch Lomond”

We absolutely love staying here. My partner just proposed at the weekend because it’s “our wee place.” Great location for exploring. So peaceful and quiet. The facilities and lodge are of a luxury standard. The host Fiona is amazing too. Nothing is too much bother and she’s always on hand for any questions.
