We were deeply disappointed to find our room uncleaned; this shows a lack of basic respect and consideration for guests, and returning to an uncleaned room after a long day severely impacted our experience and fell far short of the service standards we expected.

This year I stayed at three Hampton Inns—Tilton, NH; Dresden, Germany; and Rochester/Victor, NY. Dresden was the best: beautiful, shining, outstanding breakfast, and excellent multi‑language service. Rochester felt like a well‑used car—old carpet and so‑so breakfast. The only bright spot was Lauren, the receptionist, who did everything to make us feel comfortable.

The place sits right in the heart of the city, which is great, but the air‑conditioning made a lot of noise.

I booked last minute, the check‑in was quick and the room was spotless, though a few of the amenities felt a bit dated and the shower door was slightly crooked; otherwise the room was fine.
