“Schade, aber war wohl nix!”
The location of the hotel is absolutely great, as is the breakfast. I also want to highlight the staff, who were very nice and helpful in assisting me, a severely disabled traveler (with a wheelchair). It is very quiet at night, which is very pleasant and has the potential to be good and restful. However, from the start: access to the hotel is technically barrier‑free, but the door is locked and there is no bell at the reception. This means you have to go to the main entrance and, with the help of passersby (which I don’t like, talking to strangers!), climb the stairs and then go to the reception. I don’t want to be too negative because I know the business is tough and the people are generally very diligent. But sleeping was absolutely not possible, because over time the bedding (pillow!) had such old sweat that it was unbearable to lie in bed. It is urgently necessary to renovate the interior, including the beds, and replace the bedding to improve sleep quality! Next time I will pay extra and stay in a new hotel nearby that allows barrier‑free access to the room and is not exposed to the stench of the past generation! It’s a shame because the hotel had huge potential and it also has the perfect location.
