“Gem of a place”

The photos understate the stunning location and the handsome building of the Inn; we really enjoyed our stay, the room was comfortable, and the food was delicious with plenty of options.

“Definitely recommend regardless of the dinner service!”

The location is lovely. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with quaint beam‑ceilinged rooms, wooden floors, window seats, and modern bathrooms that have everything you need. The cafeteria coffee is excellent for a coffee connoisseur, and Wi‑Fi is included in the price. Daily room service is done well, and breakfast was tasty with a good menu; the Wednesday/Thursday waitress was wonderful and provided excellent customer service. However, when we arrived Monday for dinner at 6:30 pm, the servers were very slow and got the wrong order—my husband’s steak was served rare instead of well‑done, though it wasn’t a kitchen fault. The service was slow, and we left the dining room at 9 pm with only mains and dessert; the restaurant wasn’t busy.

“Enjoyable and relaxing stay. Thank you.”

Everything about the hotel and its setting is exactly as advertised: a lovely, peaceful spot off the beaten track, with staff who are helpful and extremely polite. Breakfast was spot on, and every staff member I met was very courteous. The only minor issue was at 4 am when I heard what initially seemed like water dripping in my room; after checking, I realized the water tank above my room might have been expanding as hot water ran, a familiar sound from my own house, so it wasn't a real problem. All in all, a great stay—thank you very much.
