SP guest house 1,5 km from kashi vishawanath

Everything was solid: good maintenance, courteous staff, and the guest house onwar… The stay felt best in the room.

We had high hopes after reading so many positive reviews, but the reality was disappointing. We booked a family room, yet it was far from Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which was inconvenient for our small child and elderly relative. Upon arrival, the owner demanded the remaining balance, citing policy, even though we’d already paid an advance and settled the full amount that afternoon without issue. The room itself was a let‑down: only a thin cloth covered the mattress, and when we asked for two proper bedsheets, we were told the same thin cloth was the sheets. Hygiene was the worst part—bedbugs bit several family members, and we found a small mouse, a serious concern with a child and elder in the room. The owner was polite, but room service, cleanliness, and overall maintenance fell short of what the reviews promised. There was no proper drinking water setup, so we had to buy water ourselves. Overall, we were very disappointed. I strongly urge management to improve cleanliness, pest control, bedding, maintenance, and basic guest amenities, especially for families with children and elderly guests.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was tidy and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the overall vibe was calm and pleasant. Everything was good and I had a pleasant stay.

It’s the closest spot to all the popular sights, and the owner of the guest house is very polite and helpful.
