The only plus is the location with a view of the port, but there is no soundproofing, so you’ll hear dancing at the port all night long. I was outraged by the check‑in experience: a very smug and arrogant receptionist insisted that the security deposit could only be paid with a physical bank card, refusing Apple Pay outright. This rule wasn’t mentioned in the hotel’s description or booking conditions. Even more shocking, the receptionist said that if I hadn’t brought a physical card I would have been denied accommodation, even though I had a confirmed reservation. The employee’s attitude was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. Such a restriction should be communicated before booking, not sprung on you at arrival. To make matters worse, the hotel itself is outdated and in dire need of renovation. The walls show stains that look like beverage splashes, there are mold spots, and the overall condition is shabby and poorly maintained. For an MGallery brand, this level of service and upkeep is simply unacceptable. A thoroughly disappointing experience.
