The place is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and staying here feels cozy and safe. The only downside was that the door was stiff to lock and unlock.

The spot worked for us, quiet. The room smelled like cat litter at the entrance, the front door handle was sticky and off-putting, and several outlets in the room didn’t work.

I never got into the place; the code wouldn’t open the door. We called the contacts we were given and no one knew anything, no one answered the door. The next day we got an email from Booking apologizing because the place was overbooked. Outside there was a strong smell of urine and garbage on the ceilings. Very unpleasant. Don’t offer this without checking the conditions! We never could get in. The code didn’t work.

Once a fault was found, the lady in charge acted quickly. The surroundings were fine.

It was close to where I needed to be the next day. The entrance had terrible signage; I tried the front doors until someone told me the side door was the entrance. I visited in early August, the house still had Halloween decorations and junk on the porch. I had to cut through long grass to the side door, which opened onto a staircase. I could see down the stairs to someone in what looked like a kitchen, but I didn’t know where my room was until she pointed left. The ad was misleading: the room was tiny, in the basement of a home. It had a strong cheap air‑freshener smell. I had to run the bathroom fan all night with no effect, so I slept with a tee‑shirt over my face. No operable window, no ceiling fan, no way to control the temperature. The shower was small; I could barely turn around. The sink couldn’t hold both hands, no washcloth, and they gave a used bar of bad hand soap. I could go on… It was a big mistake.
